“Having been involved with Project Controls for more than 27 years, I decided to set up 4Berri Consulting as I recognise that there is a need for more consistency in the implementation and application of Project Controls within organisations”.

Richard has successfully led planning and project controls teams  on major projects across the UK, USA, Africa, and the Far  East, providing both client-side and contractor-side  leadership.  

He has significant expertise in CPM scheduling,  forensic delay analysis, schedule risk management,  quantitative risk assessment, and 4D planning  methodologies, with extensive experience in Primavera P6  and digital reporting solutions.  

He has supported  organisations in strengthening project controls capability,  developing bespoke dashboards, improving governance, and  implementing best-practice planning processes.  

Richard is a respected mentor and leader, consistently delivering  scheduling excellence, team development, and strategic  programme insight across high-profile projects including  Hinkley Point C, BP Shah Deniz, Wylfa Newydd, and Core Valley Lines.  

Richard is a Fellow of both the Controls and Skills Authority  (FCaSA) and the Association of Controls Management  (FACM), and a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM)


Andrew Hennessey - Programme and Project Controls Leadership

Andrew Hennessey is a highly accomplished Senior  Project Controls Leader with over 35 years of experience  delivering complex capital programmes across the  nuclear, energy, infrastructure, rail, thermal power, and  petrochemical sectors.  

He has led and transformed project controls functions  on major programmes valued up to £20 billion,  specialising in governance, risk management, cost and  schedule control, change management, and  performance reporting.  

Andrew has a proven track-record of developing and  implementing best-practice project controls  frameworks, enterprise risk systems, and integrated  baseline management processes for clients including  EDF Energy, HS2, Jacobs, Turner & Townsend, and  NEOM.  

An experienced leader and mentor, he is recognised for  driving organisational improvement, building high performing teams, and providing strategic guidance at  board and executive level.  

His academic credentials include an MBA, MSc in  Project Management and Project Quality, and multiple  professional certifications in risk, procurement, and  project controls.
